prince william sound, alaska

Made it home at last. I really do hate airplanes and flying. Its both to quick and to long. I much prefer walking or taking a ship.
I at least slept the entire flight from Anchorage to Los Angeles.
The boys of course went crazy upon my arrival. Melissa looked beat. I have no idea where she gets the energy to handle two Pflug boys. It was fantastic to be at my home. No matter where I travel to I always miss Florida. No where else has nightly lightning and big rains, air that smells of green vegetation, happy people, pork fat in most meals, 12 hours of day light and 12 hours of dark all year, and most important..... The Marks Street Gang. A friendlier street has never existed.

Down Memory Lane

Before we moved I scanned in a bunch of photos that I liked just to post them here, but never got around to it. There are a bunch of others I want to scan when we get the scanners out again...They're still packed!

Christmas 1970 or 1971

Roger, Kenny and Greg under Grandma Ednas tree, so it must have been Christmas eve. Grandma had this thing that looked like a circular fan, only instead of a blade it had a multi colored plastic disk with a light bulb behind it and as the disk spun the colors would change. She had this aimed at the reflective tinsel laden tree, so the tree was always changing colors.

Wish Book Memories

I was thinking about Tricia and I looking at the Sears Wish Book for hours during the holiday season. I found this site which features several Christmas Catalogs.

I cant remember any "first" days of school. I do remember the labor day cok outs and get together in New Jersey. I do kinda remember starting Junior High and getting my first class schedule and being scared of not finding my way around the school. I still every once in a while will have a dream where I am wandering school hallways looking for my next class or going to the office and looking up what class I have next and where it is. Crazy stuff but I think it is one reason I like knowing where I am going and why I get anxious when I don't
